My Post-Wedding Workflow: What Happens After the Big Day

So you hired me to be your wedding day photographer….

First, thank you! I absolutely love photographing weddings and creating memories for you and your husband. We spent the whole day together and we probably laughed, cried, danced and even became besties for the day. But what comes next?…

Once I get home, no matter how late it is, I automatically back up all of your images to three different locations. My external hard drive, my editing software, and my computer. I also have two copies of your wedding day. One copy on my main memory card and one copy on my backup card.

Within 48 hours you will have your sneak peeks. I’ll get your permission to post to my social media pages because I am so excited to show you and your wedding off.

I’ll then cull through all of the images (there’s probably over 1,000 because I like to overshoot) keeping and editing the absolute best ones.

Delivery will be within 6-8 weeks unless we agreed on a different timeline. Your delivery will include all edited photos true to color and a few black and white (because who doesn’t love a good black and white photo?) Your pictures will be delivered through an online gallery that allows you to download high resolution photos for you to print or share. Please do not screen shot your photos. This lowers the quality and resolution.

If you have wall art or wedding album orders we can schedule a call and figure out which picture would be best for you and what type of wedding album you would prefer. This will be ordered and sent directly to your address.

I love to keep in touch with all of my clients so don’t be a stranger and keep me in mind for future photo sessions.
